Mandate Private College is a Christian school. This means that we do not do anything that is not in line with the word of God.

Our dealings with students, parents, staff, suppliers and government authority is absolutely with the fear of God. We take the moral upbringing of our students as important as we take the academic success of the kids.

The Scope of the School:

Mandate Private College is a co-educational day and boarding school.

Our Curriculum

We run an integrated curriculum (Nigerian and British). Our students are prepared for BECE, WASSCE, NECO SSCE, UTME, Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint, Cambridge Upper Secondary IGCSE, SAT and TOEFL

Zero Tolerance for Examination Malpractices

At Mandate Private College, we have zero tolerance for any form of Examination malpractices.

The students are taught everything they need to know to pass at distinctions in both internal and external examinations. Our students write examinations independently from JSS1 to SS3. It is the responsibility of the school to recruit competent teachers to teach a full content of the curriculum to the students and ensure that learning takes place after teaching and also ensure adequate time for revisions before any internal or external examination.

Admission Policy

At Mandate Private College, we consistently play our vital role in the reconstruction of Nigeria society by providing access to quality education or all students on merit without bias for sex, religion, ethnic or cultural background.

For a child to gain admission into Mandate Private College, such pupil must be in the final class of his/her primary education, obtain form and sit for a competitive entrance examination in 3 papers: Literacy(English), Numeracy(Mathematics) and General Knowledge and score a minimum of 60% on the average.

Entrance Examination

Entrance examination takes place in the 3rd week of March, May and July every year.

Admission Procedure:

  1. Obtain application form and prospectus from designated sale centers or the school office.
  2. Fill and return the form with all the necessary documents
  3. Sit for a highly competitive scholastic entrance examination
  4. Successful candidates are then invited for oral interview with their parents.
  5. A letter of offer of Admission is given to successful candidates
  6. Payment of commitment/acceptance fee which is part of the total entry fee

Policy on payment of school fee

The basic school fees charged by the school covers tuition, textbooks, uniforms, insurance, development fee, exam fee for exam classes and PTA Levy. All fees must be paid in full before the resumption of every term or on the first day of every new term.

Parents with three (3) children and above can be allowed to pay twice but as least 60% of the total fees for all the kids must be paid before the resumption of any term. The balance which must be paid in full by the end of the month of resumption.

All payment are done through the bank. (Cash Payments are not acceptable).

For all new students, full payment must be made before the 31st of July of that year as specified in the admission letter.

Discount for every payment of school fees

  1. Every parent who pays school fees within the first ten (10) days from the date of vacation for Christmas break and Easter and twenty (20) days of vacation of long vacation will have a discount of 5% off for that terms’ school fees for each child.
  2. Parents who pay within twenty (20) days of vacation for 3 terms at once will get a discount of 10% off the total bill of the year.
  3. In case (A or B) above, all payment details must be submitted to the school as soon as payment is made or the school should be communicated on phone.
  4. A new parent on admission, who pays the child’s fee in full for the term within on month (30 days) of receiving the letter before 31st of July will have a discount of 10% off the total bill for the term
  5. A new parent who pays for the 3 terms (Annual fees) will have a discount of 15% off the annual bill.

Scholarships

Academic scholarship are awarded to the most outstanding candidates in the entrance examination (90% and above) average scores. The primary school that produces the outstanding candidates also receives an award from Mandate Private College. (Other terms and conditions applies)

Online Results

Our termly results are processed online and our parents access their children results online anywhere in the world. Our termly result will be on our website 7 days after our last paper. This gives our parents free access to their children’s result anywhere in the world. Parents can as well check their children’s result with their cell phone if such a phone has internet access

Parent who have no access to internet can come to school after seven (7) days of vacation to pick the hard copy result.

The Use of Cell Phone

The use of Cell phone is not allowed in Mandate private college by students (Both day and boarding)

If a child is found with a cell phone, such cell phone will be confiscated and will not be released to the student.

Promotion to a New Class:

Promotion of student to a new class in on merit.

At the junior secondary school, JSS 1 to 3, the student must score not less than 50% average score to be promoted and this must include a credit pass in English Language and Mathematics

At senior secondary school, a student must have a minimum of 7 credits including English language, Mathematics, Biology and Economics) to be promoted to a new class.

Promotion on trial must be a minimum of 7 credits including either English Language or Mathematics.

Cash Possession by Students

Students of Mandate Private College are not allowed to be in possession of more than two hundred naira (200) daily whether as a boarder or day student. All boarders are to deposit their pocket money with the school account department and sign for their daily need of cash.

Mandate Private College Family (Parents) Benefits

Mandate is a family school. The joy, peace of mind and success of our parents is our concern. We share, we care for and we love our parents and children.

We have insurance cover for free tuition fee for all mandate students. This means that any family that loses the bread winner(God forbid) after the kids have spent one academic session in Mandate Private College, the child will be on free tuition till they finish their secondary education without paying tuition fees. This is to enable the kids have access to quality education in Mandate Private College.

We do not allow the death of the bread winner to affect the children’s education.

The family will only be concerned with the payment of other charges like books, uniforms, PTA, Exam fees, etc. but the tuition fee is free.

 

Any parent(s) that introduces a minimum of four(4) other parents to Mandate Private College in JSS 1 earns on of his/her own kids a free tuition scholarship for as long as the parents introduced are in Mandate if they graduate from Mandate Private College, the scholarship continues until your child finishes from Mandate Private College. But if they leave for another school before graduation, the scholarship stops.

Any parent(s) who introduces at least three(3) other parents to the hostel I JSS1 will earn one of his/her own child free boarding fee for as long as the parents introduced are still in the hostel or even when they graduate from Mandate Private College. But if they leave to another school before graduation, the scholarship stops.

Any parent who could not meet the target of (B & C) above but introduces up to two (2) other parents to the school will earn 50% off tuition fee or hostel fee respectively as the case may be.
